Red Dwarf
Red Dwarf: Characters: Toasty Toaster
Toastie Toaster is a monstrously cool mechanical devise used for making toast. Innocent enough, you might think, but the Red Dwarf Toaster will drive you completely bonkers by continually asking, "Would you like some toast?"
It’s was made by Crapola Incorporated and has a recommended retail price of 19.95 dollar-pounds. It’s made in Taiwan and comes complete with an artificial intelligence chip (the K177). If you were to meet Toastie in a pub, it would be faulty. Some drunk would have poured beer in the toast slots and it would offend your partner by asking, "Would you like some testicles?"
Red Dwarf: Characters: Holly/Hilly
Holly the Red Dwarf’s a tenth generation hologramic on-board computer. It has a rapidly
diminishing IQ of 6000, "....the same IQ as 6000 PE (Physical Education) teachers."
Red Dwarf: Characters: Kochanski
Christine Kochanski is played by the lovely Chloe Annett and previously by Clare Grogen
.
Kochanski was Red Dwarf’s navigation officer but, to Lister’s dismay, she died tragically in the first episode. Lister had always dreamed of marrying her and had actually managed to date her for two weeks.
Red Dwarf: Introduction & Main Menu
Red Dwarf was written as a show with a disparate and frequently dysfunctional group of individuals living together in a restricted setting. With the main characters routinely displaying their cowardice, incompetence and laziness, while exchanging insulting and sarcastic dialogue. This is an anti-hero show with the main characters acting bravely only when there was no alternative. By today's standards the science in the show is exceptional and the writers tried to put a plausible face on some pretty hairy concepts. If yer gonna do nano-bots, why not make them talk? If yer gonna play a virtual reality game, why not date one of the ball girls in the tennis challenge game?

Red Dwarf: Ships: Red Dwarf
Red Dwarf is a huge spaceship. When I say huge, I don’t just mean big I mean HUGE! huge. It has at least 2600 floors and is four miles long (and seemingly became 6 miles long in Season 7). The ship is so big that it has an in-flight movie in the lift!
Red Dwarf: Ships: Starbug
Starbug, or at least the Starbug seen in the series is an interstellar transport ship seen periodically as the saga developed. It was used in seasons 6 and 7 when Red Dwarf was lost by Lister and subsequently turned into a planetoid by Nanobots.
Red Dwarf: Ships: Prison Ship
The Prison ship is a high security Prison Transport for keeping the most dangerous examples of human and Simulant prisoner in confinement. It has a very effective system of restraint called the Justice Field.
All visitors are guided into the docking bay where they find some pretty comical looking security boots (to make sure that they don’t go where they should not).

Red Dwarf: Ships: Holoship
This beautiful looking spaceship is as shallow as the crew that mans it. It is made completely of light and allows their Hologram crew to enjoy effective reality, being able to touch and feel the ship, it’s contents, and erm… it’s crewmembers.
The ship has many powerful features but does not appear to be armed. It is able to transmit members of its crew into the hulls of other ships by projecting a beam of light. This beam splits
into lots of little bright balls and circles the room rather beautifully before manifesting itself as a crewmember of the HoloShip.
Red Dwarf: Ships: S.S.S. Esperanto
The S.S.S Esperanto was an ocean seeding ship sent to and ocean world to see if an experiment to encourage life on the planet had worked. The mission was part of an experiment to rapidly accelerate evolution and they had managed to cram 5 billion years of evolution into only 3 years.
Red Dwarf: Ships: Legion's Ship
This Space Station is a highly advanced research station manned by a composite Gestalt entity called Legion. It has a tracking beam used to drag unsuspecting spaceships into its hold to give Legion a life force.
The Station was once a Military Installation, which, at one time, housed such great scientists as Hildager, Davereax, Quail and Holder, though the station is apparently unmanned.
