S2 V3 DVD Rocks! *WARNING* Spoilers

Hey Aleck! I thought I would let you know how much I love the 3rd DVD from Season 2. The response time when making a selection is TONS faster. I absolutely HAD to replay the start of the DVD as it took my breath away. I'm SOOOOO glad you folks included that little clip as it's just been my favorite little vidbit of the openings in all 4 seasons of Lexx so far. The extra's having 790 scan the list had me burst out laughing when I saw it. I was VERY glad to see 790's story being continued as it wasn't in the volume 2 DVD so that was great. On a downer note I could care less about the story board stuff and even on a 32" TV they were hardly worth looking at IMHO. So I can't say I'm excited about even more in vol. 4. As for availability here goes. Called best buy and all of them within a 40 mile range reported a street date of Aug 21 but their website said July 31st and of course the nimrods on the phone were only as good as the info they were given. I finally found a copy at a Suncoast video where they had 1 and 1 only and I told the guy at the counter who so graciously held it for me while I drove the 30 miles to go get it that I could score acid faster than getting this DVD. No Joke! And I gave up drugs YEARS AND YEARS ago! Maybe you guys should distribute the DVD's on the black market, so they can reach the customers quicker! **kidding** Anyway I'm ordering the 4th and 5th volumes off of Amazon to ensure I get them in a somewhat timely manner. You guys should put on more video extra's on the Season 3 DVD's when you produce them as that's what people really want to see. You could grab the extras that were appeneded to the VHS tapes as they were different that what's being incorporated on the DVD's.

Well, I like 'em. Seriously though, we had gotten a fair amount of feedback saying that things like storyboards and production sketches would be interesting, so we were able to get some out of Salter for a few segments. Like anything else, it's a personal thing whether you like 'em or not. Anyway, the only thing I wasn't too happy about was how crowded some of them looked when there were 2 per page. On the subsequent ones, there'll be one per page.

Well, that's just *great*. (note: there should be sarcasm dripping from that) I'd heard that Best Buy hadn't placed an order for the DVDs yet (they're under the same corporate umbrella as Suncoast, but have separate buyers), and I'll mention again that they have the wrong date in their database.

What's on the VHS tapes? Are you referring to the UK editions? As far as video extras, we could only use what Salter provided to us, which was basically the making of segments and the "Rated LEXX" special, but if you know of any specific stuff that's on there that we could ask for, that would be great info.

Of course, I'm not saying that the Season 3 releases are going to happen. I can't say that at this point. Or rather, I'm not allowed to say that. Officialy, it's still "to be determined." Keep your eyes open, though.

Glad you liked the disc overall, though! This opening *is* better (the last one looked good in theory, but didn't work wonders in execution), the next one is similar but funnier, and the one for V5 is still in the works (though Andrew at Salter Digital has been kicking out some great things as of late). The 790 menu is my favorite, but we couldn't find use for it on any other menu, so the next ones won't be as amusing, sorry to say.
