Starfleet Commands Celebrates 40 year of Star Trek
Starfleet Commands Celebrates 40 year of Star Trek with Picture House Cinemas!
To celebrate 40 year of Star Trek we have arranged to show:
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan!
Kirk meets Khan in this classic struggle to the death! Khan, once marooned by Kirk, escapes to exact his revenge by stealing a starship and a device he turns into a doomsday weapon luring Kirk into a deadly battle.
Will Kirk triumph over the genetically enhanced war criminal or is this the end of the final frontier?
To make this an extra special occasion, the rare 70mm print of the film will be shown. Regular cinemas use a motion picture film that is 35mm wide. 70mm film is twice as wide and 25% taller than the equivalent 35mm film image (frame) so the picture projected onto the screen is of a higher definition than 35mm. The image is a lot steadier and due to the larger film frame, you can apply more light through the film without damaging the film print, allowing you to project the film onto larger screens with the higher resolution image of 70mm! Trek never looked so good!
The film will be shown at these cinemas across the country and tickets are available from the individual theatres:
