Sci Fi News
We’ve had Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. “Level 7 Access” featurettes on Agents Ward, Fitz, Simmons, and May plus Skye, but now we get the Big Guy. The one we’ve been waiting for. Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg). The one who’s supposed to be dead. But of course, they’re not going to let us know about how he pulled off that particular trick yet. They’re just gonna tease us:
Featurette: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Level 7 Access With Coulson
We’re hopeful that the explanation will be a good one, as was promised (and reported here) earlier. It’s Joss Whedon‘s show, so we have good reason to hope. Just a little over a month to go!
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., starring Clark Gregg, Brett Dalton, Ming-na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Chloe Bennet, premieres Tuesday, September 24 at 8/7c on ABC.

It might be just coincidence that NBC has been releasing new featurettes for Revolution on Wednesdays, but it’s a great way for us to transition from thinking of it as a Monday show to it becoming a Wednesday show when Season 2 premieres next month.
This week’s featurette is a juicy one, with the superb Giancarlo Esposito as the multi-layered and exceptionally shifty Captain Tom Neville:
Featurette: Revolution – The Story of Captain Tom Neville
Season 2, we are so ready for you…
Revolution, starring Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Elizabeth Mitchell, Zak Orth, Giancarlo Esposito, David Lyons, JD Pardo, Maria Howell, and Colm Feore, returns for Season 2 on its new day and time, Wednesday, September 25 at 8/7c on NBC.
Welcome back to the series of posts here at SciFi Mafia that we’re calling Web Series Wednesday where we devote a space to the wonderment of the web series. Every Wednesday we’ll cover an awesome web series and give you all the info to get into it.
This week we’re covering World of Warcraft: The Burdens of Shaohao.
World of Warcraft is one of those things I wish I had time to explore. I’m sure I’d love it and I’m certain it would completely overpower all my time management and I would happily exchange it for sleep. Since I have yet to find a way to make it a part of my life without letting it own me, I’m happy to enjoy this six part web series on last Emperor of the Pandaren, Emperor Shaohao, entiled The Burdens of Shaohao. It is beautifully animated by Laurel Austin and features the voice of Jim Cummings (Darkwing Duck) as the narrator.
Here’s the introduction for the Prelude episode.
In a new series of six dramatic shorts, we travel back to the time of the last pandaren emperor, a golden age before the land was enveloped by mist.
Ten thousand years ago in the ancient empire of Pandaria, Emperor Shaohao asked the Great Waterspeaker to peer into his future. What did the rippling waters foretell? Journey into Pandaria’s history in “The Burdens of Shaohao Prelude: The Vision.”

This week on our favorite LIVE comic radio show, the men of Where Monsters Dwell welcome Troy Little to the Monster Cave. You know his work from his graphic novels Chiaroscuro and Angora Napkin. Recently he has been chosen to usher the Powerpuff Girls back into comics with their own monthly series from IDW! I LOVE Powerpuff Girls, yay!
Update: Listen to episode 259 now!
Troy joins Monster Mike and Remington J. Osborne this week to chat about all this and more, including hopefully a great deal about Buttercup – she IS the toughest fighter – so if you have a question for Troy Little, you can post it on the WMD Facebook wall or give them a call during the show (in Canada) at 506-452-6056.
If you do miss it – even though the Powerpuff Girls theme is running through your head right now, isn’t it? - the guys are nice enough to post their shows as podcasts, so you’ll be able to listen to the show when it posts later this week, either from the Where Monsters Dwell website, or subscribe to the podcast on iTunes here.
Fighting crime, trying to save the world, here they come just in time…
Where Monsters Dwell broadcasts live at 8:30/7:30c tonight, right here.
In this featurette for Thor: The Dark World we see a lot of great behind the scenes footage and discussion about how this installment will be different from the first and how it picks up after The Avengers movie. This video features interviews with producer Kevin Feige, Chris Hemsworth (Thor), director Alan Taylor, Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), and Tom Hiddleston (Loki).
