Lister's hat

What kind of hat does Lister wear?

I'm so happy! [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] I'm collecting all the Red Dwarf episodes. They never broadcast it where I live and I've rarely seen it before. Now I'm buying the videotapes and I'll collect them all before you know it. I'm almost to season 3.

Oh yeah, and I have four black cats that all look like Frankenstein! (No kiddin'!)

is it a deerstalker? Or am I thinking of Sherlock Holmes?

I've got an inkling of a feeling that one of the books states that it is a deerstalker. However, Lister customised his by folding the earflaps up, decorating it with badges and keeping ciggies in it!!!

Deerstalker hats are the same kind worn by Sherlock Holmes.

But it seems to me that it was a different hat that Lister wore. I think I'll have to watch the rest of the Red Dwarf series. I'm only up to season 4.

Flamegrape, I think it goes without saying that you have to watch more Red Dwarf. EVERYONE needs to watch more Red Dwarf.

This picture is a cropped version of an image I downloaded from the Red Dwarf website. It's from season 4, but I'm sure he wore it in other seasons.

There are some other hats he wore, I think. If I find pics of those, I'll post them too.

Lister's hat is a furry-eared leather deerstalker - it was referred to as a deerstalker in the books but never in the show itself.

I think Lister's hat is more the kind worn by lumberjacks, hunters and old men. I happen to own one very like it except it's green. I love it so much.
