There's magic in these threads again folks! The downside is the bombing in Casablanca; the upside is the fact the TCM(Turner Classic Movies) aired both The Mummy and The Raven with Boris Karloff last night. I was sooo excited.... :D It wasn't "The Raven" I prefer but it was do-able. Whad' I tell ya; more freakin' damn pyramids! Do-able, but was it singable? Alan Parsons Project: The Raven The clock struck midnight To my amazement Nevermore And still the raven remains in my room Quoth the raven, nevermore The Raven is off one of my fave concept albums, Tales of Mystery and Imagination -- it helps that I love Poe (but not Po! Love those selections Nursewhen! I'm listening to Blondie's Rapture as I type. Now it's U2's "In the Name of Love" I love these lines....... Early morning April 4 And again from U2 from "From the Cradle to the Grave" it's asong that has significance to me not for human to human love but to my spiritual love of my life; so it's important for personal to me. "You say you want It's like a conversation I have with the Buddha since I'm a Buddhist. Some of the "promises" that I hear back..... You say You'll give me You say you'll give me TAke care

it is called "This Is God" by Phil Vassar. i may be wrong about the exact title and the spelling of the artist name. but i feel this is a very important song especially with the current world situation! i can't hear this song without tears in my eyes! if someone can find the lyrics for me i would love it. i think he is a new artist in the country western music market. that is not what i normally listen to but i got a chance to see 2 of his songs on a tv program, and i fell in love with his music and message! i would also recommend his song called "An American Child". it may be called "An American Child" but it speaks to every person who has grown up on the bad side of town and still had the power to rise up and make a difference! i find this guy a perfect example of that! from what i have heard. so i would love to see what everybody thinks about him and i would love to have a link to a site if someone has one. :D :D :D :D

Not that it matters much to anyone anymore but bluegrass is the choice for me now including the tune "I'll Fly Away" and "I Am Weary" from the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack and "Crazy Fate" and "Take Me For Longing" from the album New Favorite- Allison Kraus and Union Station. apart from the usual (Blink 182, Anouk, A, Zebrahead, Jimmy Eat World, Lit and Feeder) Ive been listening to "simple plan" lately. They're a bit pop, but Im bored as hell with music out now. Ive also been listening to The Ataris. It's wierd how it caught my eye. I saw them on MTV, and their album is called 'so long, Astoria'. Astoria is the town the Goonies lived in. I checked the internet and found out this IS why they called the album. They're all Goonies fans. Of course, I used kazaa to find some more of their stuff. It's okay, they're a cover band more than anything though. Lots of 80's rock repunked. Tis okay.

Backward Glance

With a backwards glance I said goodbye
Saw the regret in your eyes
It's too late now to change the truth
While were living under the same roof
Its a ruse of yours
To alter perception
Manipulate a violent situation
For your own gain
With my tits in the air
I'm strong and proud
You'll see me laughing out loud
On a crowded street
In the summer heat
We'll all be there
So come and share
Its a ruse of yours
To alter perception
Manipulate a violent situation
To your own gain
And your own needs
And your own fear
And your own tears
Seek and destroy
Smile and obey
Its a ruse of yours
To spoil perfection
Manipulate a violent situation
For your own gain
And your own needs
And your own fear
And your own tears
Seek and destroy
Smile and obey.

Re:The Jukebox
There are places I'll remember all my life
Though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these mem'ries lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I'll love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I'll love you more
In my life I'll love you more.

Re:The Jukebox
You must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss,
A sigh is just a sigh, the fundamental things apply,
As time goes by . . .
An' when two lovers woo, they still say "I love you,"
On that you can rely, no matter what the future brings,
As time goes by . . .
Moonlight an' love songs never out of date,
Hearts full of passion, jealousy an' hate,
Woman needs man and man must have his mate,
That no one can deny . . .
It's still the same old story, a fight for love an' glory,
A case of do or die, the world will always welcome lovers,
As time goes by . . .
< instrumental verse three >
It's still the same old story, a fight for love an' glory,
A case of do or die, the world will always welcome lovers,
As time goes by . . .
Play it again sam...

I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming
A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you
Now I'm in a whole new world with you
Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky
A whole new world
Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath - it gets better
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be
A whole new world
Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue
Every moment red-letter
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you
A whole new world
That's where we'll be
A thrilling chase
A wondrous place
For you and mep
Have to wait til october next yr for it to arrive on DVD though. Typical disney
Really should get off the topic of film music
