grrrr!!! this is the problem i have been having! i click on Quote and
Re: see what i mean!
I'm afraid that the Quote tag can only be used to quote text between two tags. For instance, if I type:
[quote]Grr.... I'm sick of these quote tags :( [/quote]then I will get:
Everything that you type between the quote tags will be quoted. If you select the quote box to reply to someone's post then you'll find that the WHOLE post is quoted - that's what the quote button is for.
The best thing to do (I find) is to start your reply without clicking the quote button and when you want to quote someone specifically (say just a sentence), the click the 'Quote' tag (between u and Code) and cut and paste the text you want to quote. Then click the 'Quote' tag again and it will close the quote for you.
Quote tags are a very useful feature of forums but they take a little getting used to.
thank you
but what about the url thing and the others up there if i click on them and then click them after i finish, url, img, bold, italics, etc... then it will work? that is a simple solution to my problem! thank you for the advice! :D but i still so want to know why the end of the code ends up at the bottom of the page. :)
