I was a bit peturbed by Fatguy's comment in the [url=http://www.sadgeezer.com/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=30577#30577]Dreams and Goals[/url] thread.

After LexxLurkers well written and deep thread, Fatguy's comments seems very cold. There's no smiley or other acceptable gesture to indicate that this was a joke. Even if he had written "Death and Taxes" a common joke about lifes' only two constants, I wouldn't have so shocked.
I was thinking of doing one of several things:[list]
[*]Ignore it and assume its just a joke (or just as a childish comment that should be overlooked
[*] Deletethe text and leaving a comment saying it was stupid (as done in other instacnes of childish posts)
[*] Delete the post outright, with no explanation (let him assume it didn't go through
[*] Leave it alone, but politely rebuke Fatguy through a PM
I've haven't edited a post for content yet and since this is a gray area, I thought I'd discuss it first. (read: I want to share the blame ;) )

yup, fatguy is a dweeb, and his nonsense about his silly site and 'archiving the loss of freedom' just makes me impatient...i keep hoping if people ignore him he will go away, but it doesn't seem to work with warts or syphilis....;)

Headge in terms of this specific thread, I saw it too and just rolled my eyes and moved on. Time and time again someone gets a good thread going only until one of two or three people come in to dumb it down. I understand that I probably did not explain myself too well but assumed the intelligence level would be high enough to realize I was referring to an ultimate truth, not something so generically organic. If he wanted me to explain why "Death" does not fall into the catagory of an irrefutable truth, I would be happy to have explained it, but there was plenty of posts that followed and I just let it lie.
After Sadgeezer.com went down I visited Lexx.com. I never post there, but it makes for good reading once in a rare while.
In any event it turns out Fatguy is a bit of a celebrity there as well. From the sounds of things he has been run off that board more than once for his innane posts and shameless plugs for his website.
Things kind of came to a head last week when he advertised that he had Xev pictures on his site, but that you had to search for them! Then he claimed Lexx.com was too slow and boring and people should come visit his site for a real conversation....
It goes on and on.
Personally I think any moderation or attention this guy gets is just going to fuel him all the more. I've personally resigned to just sighing and checking the next thread. There's no law against being an idiot, I guess. Thanks for the support though!
