One of the cool things about Farscape is the way they incorporate fictional swearwords to mean the same as ours. Some are really funny. Can you name any?
Ie. What does Frell mean, or Midvonks :)

Cant think of any other than 'Frelling'.. But Im curious about one thing:
If Crichton yelled 'F**king", what would the translator microbe interpret as for the others?...lol
Frell= f..k
Dren= shite/crap
Yotz= hell (as in what the hell!?)
Hezmana= see above
kretada= shit/crap again, only used by Grunchlk at the end of season 2
Mivonks= balls

I think microbes are programmed with a universal language, which is why all the different races all use very similar slang. But it's a question I've wondered about too.
I remember hearing the word "crap" more than once.
Also in some non-US version of Farscape the word "Shite" minus the "e" is used at least once by Crichton (The Locket?) instead of Dren
I'm not sure about their meaning, but I've been using many of late anyway. Foxtel has really been screwing us Australians around regarding the final four episodes. For no apparent reason - and certainly without any explanation - the timeslot was vacated for crap like Next Top Model and David Blaney 'specials'. It was basically off air for close to three months, and due to return last night - except it didn't (despite being in the schedules). According to their online guide, it SHOULD return next week for four consectitive weeks, but we'll frelling see. :roll:

There's also the non-slang translated words - mostly for time/distance measurements (arns, metras, etc), cycles being the only one I can think of that translates to an English word.
Also, I think Crichton is actually (in character) saying "Frell" instead of fuck. Just my impression.

That's pretty complete. Heres a few more:
Farbotz: Crazy, Insane
Megra-Farbotz: Really, really Insane/crazy
Trelk: Skeezer, loose with morals, whore.

Re:Farscape Swearwords
Rygel also says "bollocks" in "John Quioxte" (4.07) ;)
Re:Farscape Swearwords
One of their best episodes. Beware the flaming backside of Rygel the Black.
