Regardless of past injuries -whatever they were and long forgotten as they are - I am with Da Maya on this one. You guys don't seem to have the moral high ground on this one. What an incredible shame and a blow to our entire community.

According to my research... Not passing judgement, just trying to clarify to the best of my knowledge.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, during the great APEC wars at scfi.com/lexx, Maya was banned for abusive comments and threats towards members of this site. Most of the time people are only banned temporarily, but she was banned permanently. The ban was never lifted, the info from the old ban module was lost, probably when the new site came up. An administrator simply re-entered the details of Maya's old permanent ban this morning in the database. I was not around here during the early 2002 events although I am familar with them, so I will refrain from comment on the incidents.

Nor did we discuss the ban when the glitch in the module was fixed because it had never been lifted, to my knowledge.

EDIT: Maya says that sadgeezer did lift the ban when she was using another name, I don't know about that, but she also says theFrey was involved in the ban when she wasn't.

There was, of course, much warfare amonst Lexxians at that time of the kind not seen since the great Insect Wars.

Maya has, I think, proved herself a worthwhile poster at lexx.com over the past year plus. I do believe in second chances, and the principle of charity. Dude had many at lexx.com and sadgeezer.com, and I'm sure ManOwaR, for instance, would be given another chance to post at lexx.com if he asked. Still I can't really comment on this again, becuase I wasn't around when the ban took place back in 2002, so...

I guess she didn't send it to enough of 'em... We're not all around every day. Oh wait, I see she only sent it to one administrator. Sadgeezer does have a life. He's a busy man and can't always be there at one's beckoned call (don't even know that he's aware of what happened -- I know when I go away I might not check my email for days).

Like theFrey said, if Maya wants to discuss she should email her or FX since they are the moderators of this Lexxian forum.

The issue should be discussed provately between Maya and the moderators here. No one besides them know all the story, and it is not fair to try to second guess them. Reasonable actions may seem unreasonable without full knowledge of the situation.

I do believe in second chances as well, FunkET. remember what happened to Mr.T/Jacknife_Johnny (known as Sexecutioner here) at lexx.com. he had his second chance but he didn't take it and was banned permanently.

it would only be fair if you do the same with maya. IMHO she's an important member of the lexxian fandom and she unselfishly offers help to everyone who ask her about lexx stuff. you know that, FunkET. sorry, theFrey, I can take criticism and I hope you can do that too.
