I agree, it would be very helpful. I like the longer list of news stories, the posts could benefit from the same treatment.

Much better, but I think 20 would work as well. with so many lurkers I would like to give them a large sampling of all the latest posts rather than just the ones in their forum.

I've increased the number of recent posts/threads from 10 to 15. I can conceivably make it any number, but IMO 15 is long enough. Any more and the latest posts block will be a bit too large on the front page.

Yep 15 would be my limit too. Mainly because of the embarrassment when peeps don't post anything for a couple of days - it makes it look (to the casual lurker) that the site is dead.

While things are buzzing, I'm happy with the main list being fifteen posts, maybe we can review it again if things get quiet.

The front page is back to 10 items again. Doubtless, some setting that got screwed during the last problem.

Could someone please stick it back to 15 when they get a minute?

That was me. Becuase of the lull in posting from the holiday weekend (Even sidhecafe and mystriesofthesea haven't posted in a while!) I lowered the amount of posts to 10, so that the site doesn't appear so inactive. At 15 posts, the lists went back over 10 days. I'll change it back to 15 in a few days when board traffic goes back to normal.
