Mwa-hahaha! - The Frey : I thought you were going to say you spent the most boring hour of you life being involved in the podcast!

Sadcast 14 can be like "Leisure Suit Larry 4 : leisure suit larry and the missing floppies" and not really exist due to technical failure.

Well heck.

For the next show I want to talk about the Girl Genius Comic by Phil Foglio and his lovely wife. the Girl Genius' tag line is it is an ongoing "gaslamp fantasy" story Girl Genius follows the career of Agatha Heterodyne—a hapless student at Transylvania Polygnostic University who discovers that she has more going for her than she thought. Agatha Clay, discovers that she is a young Mad Scientist (or “Spark” to be polite.)

What is Gaslamp Fantasy you ask? According to theFoglio's, it has influences that include Jules Verne and H. Rider Haggard. It is also called "steampunk." It has big, clanking Victorian-style tech, old-fashioned clothes, Frankenstein monsters and airships. Lots and lots of airships. It's not exactly magic. It's not exactly science. It is a little of both, it's Mad Science!

Agatha is also the last of the famous Heterodyne family—beloved heroes who disappeared under mysterious circumstances many years ago. Her Father Bill, was one of the Heterodyne Boys. Her mother Lucrezia is the daughter of one of the most powerful villian's of their day. But all have disappeared. Folk legend claims that they will someday return, but so far they haven’t managed it.

They left Agatha in the care of two constructs, Punch and Judy who raised her as their own. Until the Baron scooped her up by accident and took her to his flying 'Hindenberg-like' castle. They are currently running two tracks. The beginning of the story

I think we could drop #14 though as, well, we'll have less and less interesting things to say the more often we talk about it :)

a t.v. shows review is a good idea though.

As you can guess, I pretty much gave up on the mid week session.

We'
ll do a review show on Friday and add any little extras such as the one theFrey wants to do.
