I still am waiting on photos....and a healing little toe...

I hob hob hobble around while trying to settle into a work week.

I'm starting the sequel of Jack McDevitt's Engines of GOd titled Omega.

You see Engines of God is well spoilerific about an team of archeopogists and the like that have found a civilization's home planet who built these statues or statue really of a female of their form . They are excavating it and find it was destroyed by a cloud the Omega cloud and the last book is the the book about the Omega cloud coming to Earth.

I reaaly enjoy McDevitt. I read a few of his others and he impresses me by making  it sci-fiction, quasi-tech and yet can build a human civilization out of it. It's entertaining enough for a sci-fi girl looking in without the bog down of tech , which is marvelous if you have the time to check a dictinary every otyher workd or know the lingo but I don't have time to geta few degrees in astronomy nor as, you lovies all know ....no money (my ex-took most all I own and starting again sucks)

It will be Ramen for weeks after my Atlanta journey.

SOmetimes, you have to; you have to just give it all up and take risks even though you know you just painted yourself on for some strain and pain. You do it regardless.

You know, I'd like to go back to Tuczon AZ I love it there. Going up Kitt Peak was an adventure with my ex- cause well he has a lead foot and the switchbacks climbing up there; well that made it harrowing but exciting.

I have to but that back on my travel list for a re-visit.

And my ex's lead foot; hopefully attached to the rest of him at the bottom of the sea.

J/K; he's still a pal.
