Horvitz to Play Galactus

San Jose, April 1

It has been reported recently that Richard Steven Horvitz announced at Cartoon Networks’ release party for their original TV/movie “Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure” that he will be portraying Galactus the Devourer of Worlds in this summer’s Fantastic Four: Rise of Silver Surfer. Horvitz who is best known as the voice Invader Zim in the short live but huge cult following sci-fi Nickelodeon cartoon series “Invader Zim.” “I walked in to audition for Galactus, and pulled my Zim voice out saying, “Bow before the might of Galactus. After that very line I had director Tim Story and producer Mark Frost, asking me when is the earliest I can start.” says Horvitz. Horvitz also reviled that his portrayal of Galactus was not be done with green screen and CGI, like his counter part, Silver Surfer but was done on a separate set, that was follows the same format that was created by the legendary Satoshi Chuko, and Takeo Kita in the old Godzilla movies. “It was like a part match made in Heaven.” Said producer Mark Frost to Serve Magazine. “Given Richard’s height, and the voice he delivered at the audition we knew exactly how to go about portraying Galactus on the silver screen without making him and his environment seem to surreal.” When asked if the fans would be disappointed by an iconic portrayal on Galactus, Frost replied “What we learned from fan feedback from the first (Fantastic Four) movie, and all the X-Men films is not to tamper to much of the designs of the characters. When Richard was on set he wore Jack Kirby’s exact design of the character from a giant helmet, all the way down to the purple armor. A character this badass and with this huge of fan base, we don’t want to mess up with.”
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer will be release year on June 15th.
